Difference between Intel and Nvidia based boards??

What is the difference between intel and nvidia chip based boards? Is one of the two better for gaming etc?? Thanks

The biggest differences between Intel & nvidia chipsets are Intel does Crossfire (exception is Skulltrail for $600 that does SLI) whereas nvidia does SLI. Which one is better for gaming depends on the games & support. Do the games you play support CF/SLI?

Chances are I will never go with SLI, but wouldnt mind doing some overclocking as well

Then it would be best to go with an Intel board since they seem to overclock a little bit better and usually draw a little less power.
