like the title says, does the + just mean that it has raid?

also, been thinking about going to DDR, after looking around for boards and searching these forums, i saw a lot of good things about the Epox boards.

but, i'm assuming the Epox EP-8KHA is better than the EP-8K7A?

thanks in advance

Yup. The KHA also uses the newer KT266A northbridge, paired with the new southbridge (VT8233).

The + does not mean raid. The + just means that it has the KT266A chipset instead of the KT266 chipset. The soon to be released 8KHA2 (or something like that) will be an 8KHA+ with RAID.

the KT266A chipset is better than the KT266....basically they fixed the memory controller in the northbridge. Other than that, the boards are identical. The old KT266 performed slightly better than the KT133A chipset and worse than the AMD 760 chipset. The KT266A with the "fixed" northbridge beats everything out there handily, except for the nForce reference mobo (there aren't any nForce's currently available to the mass market that approach these figures tho).
