What are the differece between effective pixel and those with a jag up pixel through polarization like those in fujicam.

I am refering to digital camera... thanks

if i take a picture, say 320x240 and resize it to 1600x1200 in photoshop, i could say i made it 2megapixels effective.

a moron would care about that number basically. i could resize it to 200mega pixels if i feltlike it. resizing looks like cr@p, you can't generate detail.

effective is what on the sensor actually is used for picture. sensors have excess pixels used for calibration and other things, u obviously can't count them as part of the picture taking part.

so you mean what the fujicam are actually trying to trick us? they did mention only them has this kind of technology... they said effective pixel 2.1 but rated them at 3.2
