Difference between educational software version and retail version

Just want to know what the difference is, for example it's 600 dollars or something for the full retail version of photoshop and the educational version can be had for a lot less. Do both versions have the same features? If not what is the typical difference?
 
as far as i know, they all both have the same features, you are just on your honor not to use them in a commercial environment, which would be breaking the EULA.
