Difference Between Ati and NVidia

Honestly, without anyone with a bias. What is the true difference between these two? From my knowledge it really just seems to be that NVidia has better tessellation.

I dont mean to start a war or anything. I just need a bit of clarification.

ATI:

Pros:

Lower power
Lower energy
Overclock well
Displayport
Single-GPU triple monitor

Cons:

Not as powerful as Fermi
6000 series is expected soon

Nvidia:

Pros:

Better price/performance if you buy smartly
Better DX11 performance
Better minimums
Better 2560/AA
CUDA/GPGPU/Physx

Cons:

High energy
Run very hot
Don't overclock as well
Have to purchase on a deal to get a good value
Sli needed for triple monitor

I probably missed a few, but that's the general gist.

ATI gives you a fluffy puppy
Nvidia runs over it

One of these is a good reply...

Right now each has better models at different price ranges, from low to high (single cards not SLI/crossfire):

ATI 5770
nv GTX 460 768 and 1 GB
ATI 5850
ATI 5870
nv GTX 480 -- if you don't mind a blast furnace sucking down the power for a bit of extra speed

Before the end of the year ATI and nvidia are expected to release some new models like the GTX 475 (a much better high end card than the 470/480).
