difference between active and proactive

Hello,

does anyone knoe what teh difference between actve and proactive is.

i was looking at this presentation regarding social networking and it divided web people into four types

passive --> who just watch stuff
reactive --> who respond to stuff
proactive --> who create stuff
active --> who create stuff

Proactive people actively seek out stuff to do, while active people just do a lot.

Basically pro-active is preventing problems before they happen. It's the same difference between strategic activites and tactical activities.
