Difference between 866mhz PIII (Slot 1 or FCPGA?)

I have the tyan trinity 400 (s1854), which has both a slot 1, and an fcpga socket. According to the tyan website, it supports up to 866mhz, on either slot 1 or on fcpga (it has the 99PON marking to show it supports flip chips, but is only revision D, not J, so it does not support 933mhz and up celeron and p3's).
I was wondering, since they are about the same price, and both 133mhz bus, does it matter which p3 866 I get? I don't think I'll be overclocking either way (i know slot 1 ocing sucks on my board), so is there really a difference? Thanks.

No difference in performance between the two packages. They were made in both versions to aide in transition and so those iwht older mobos could upgrade. I'd get the Socket 370 just because Slot 1 is officially dead. Should the mobo die, you could just get another S370 board and transfer over your parts.

Thanks for the tip... hopefully, by the time it dies, i will be buying another one. Guess I'll go with the 370, since there is one on the f/s forums.

As an added note, in rig #1 below, I have a 235w powerman PS. Do you think I will need to upgrade it, when going from a 450 cpu to an 866? I will also be increasing the ram from 1 stick of 64 and 1 stick of 128 to 2 sticks of 256 each.
