difference between 4200, 4400 , 4600???

are the difference in just the core and memory speeds?? or is there more to it?

Core/Mem clockspeed.

Ti4600=300/325
Ti4400=275/275
Ti4200=225/250

There is also the Ti4800 which is a Ti4600 with AGP 8X, and the Ti4800SE which is the Ti4400 with AGP 8X.

You're obviously thinking about a purchase. Grab a 4200. Most people are able to overclock them to 4600 speeds. IMHO the 4200 128meg is the biggest bang for the buck out there right now.

Most TI4400/4600 products use a different circuit board that is larger and more expensive to manufacture.

id agree with smilin, grab a nice ti4200, usually you can o/c them pretty nice. if you have the extra cash, go grab one of those Asus 9280S ti4200's. its built on 4600 pcb and uses 3.3ns bga ram i think it is.. also, the Albatron Turbo ti4200p is a good thought. check out some reviews 🙂

thats like way over the 4600 speeds... i mean thats a 100percent gain...

thanks Vegetto2073 for the tips... i wanna get a 4600 or 4200 before i get the fx or whatever is next by ati. I read about too many issues with ati's 9700 pro to wanna buy that. i just want the sh*t to work, ya know?

heh, i already have a 4200 128mb. its an albatron non-turbo. bought it for $147 total last year oct. that was a good deal.

any ways i have a story, my fan was starting to make noises, no i rma'ed it to albatron, on feb. they live like 10 min. from me. so just drove there instead of shipping. i could tell that the card i got was not the same exact card i gave them. this was because the serial number was the same for the first part which indicated it was the same exact model, but the second part was different, it was a higher number, it makes me think its a newer card. also, the power connector for the fan was at the different location. so i went to rivatuner and i am able to hit 290/290. my old card hit only 270/270. stock is 250/250. 290 with 4ns ram. how bout that. have no idea why they gave me a whole new card. maybe they messed up the core when they removed the fan.
