Which one is better 3-pin connectors for a fan or 4-pin and whats the difference between them????

3 pin is for hooking up to the MB, and can/may have RPM monitoring capabilities if the fan supports it. 4 pin hooks up to the PS just like a HD/CD-ROM drive would. No monitoring is supporting that way.
