I have been looking for a AMD 761 board and just wondering what are the differences between these 2 boards? Seems like the R model supports RAID and have a different BIOS setup. Does it mean the DX model board cannot change the FSB under BIOS? Or can it still be done through jumpers?

Thanks for any info and/or advice on any 761 boards.

The 7DXR is NOT only the RAID version of the 7DX. It's a re-designed board with more functions,
sockets, and better performance. The 7DX was the first AMD 760 board in the market, in autumn
2000. It's limited to FSB 133, the 7DXR allows (in theory) FSB 250, and in practice FSB 170 and maybe more. The 7DXR is half a year younger and performing better. And of course you have the RAID function. By the way the boards look totally different: the 7DX has the "old" brownish PCB, the 7DXR has the new stylish blue PCB.
