I would like to know:
What are the main differences between the two?
What are the advantages of each type?
Is one prefered over the other?
And any other technical info.

Thank you in advance

you could at least attempt to make us think this isnt homework. i cant stand you retards that want other people to work for you.

GO TYPE YOUR TOPIC TITLE IN GOOGLE AND LOOK IT UP YOURSELF :|

Text-
there...i even put a link there for you because you are obviously too lazy/dumb to think of it yourself.

edit: it is ironic that i am calling you stupid while i cant get that link fixed, but my point still holds and the link still works.

Who the hell assigns a comparison of DVD technology as homework? Maybe you need to change your pad this morning.

Guys and gals, before I started this topic I had already been to these sites!!

http://www.videohelp.com/dvd
cnet.com
http://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html

I did not ask this because it is a homework assignment. Plus who would assign suck a topic anyways? Regardless, these sites listed above did not give me the answers I am looking for. Someone I know asked me to find out this information for them. That person lives in a third world country and has a filming business (u know the guy who films your parties and weddings, etc.) He does not really know how to use computers so he asked me to find info. He wants to move from vhs recordings to DVDs so he wanted to know what was the best option for him. If you don't want to answer then that is fine, but don't put false accusations on me! If you do want to answer, please do. You guys are the experts.

are you kidding me? this is like the fourth or fifth time someone has come here and asked these same questions.

high school and even some college classes ask questions WAY dumber than these. it is homework at face value...and even if it isnt, you should still look it up yourself you lazy bums.

ill take a thread crapper over a "forum crapper" anyday. you obviously havent been in this forum long enough to see all the "non-homework" question that are asked. this topic is not HT material first of all...its a general hardware post. not only that, it could easily be answered by anyone that can find their way online by going to google, and lastly i would be money that this is homework.
