Diference between synchronous and asynchronous NAND for SSDs?

Hello,

During my research prior to buying an SSD I came across these 2 Adata drives:

S510

and

S511

The only notable difference between the two is that the latter comes with synchronous memory, and of course it is more expensive.

My question is, what does having synchronous memory entail? more performance or reliability, or should I just save some money and get the asynchronous?

The SSD will be used as a Windows drive for the system in my signature, which will be upgraded to a IB core i5 in December.

Or get a Crucial M4/Samsung 830 instead and avoid the bugged SandForce controllers.

I wish I could do that but these Adata drives are the only affordable ones in my country :/
