dieters teas

I'm thinking about drinking a dieter's tea for cleansing, but I absolutely HATE tea. I am willing to drink them if they work. What are the best one's out there?

A dieter's tea? So what are the claimed benefits of these teas? Just put the work in and regulate your diet and you won't need anything but food, exercise, and effort.

How do you drink your tea? Tea is the equivalent to black coffee. Adding sugar, cream, or honey will do the trick. Personally, I really enjoy my tea with cream or honey, depending on the tea. As for a dieter's tea, the only way it could really help you with your diet is by pumping up your heart rate through caffeine. Some teas have MASSIVE amounts of caffeine. I naturally have a very high metabolism with incredible energy, so if I drink a lot of caffeine after noon, I will have ridiculous problems with sleeping that night.

I've heard that Oolong tea can greatly increase your natural fat-burning, but beyond that most "cleansing" tea is relative BS. Tea itself is extremely healthy if drunk unsweetened. Adding sugar and such offsets most of the benefits.

How so? Oolong is just a partially fermented green tea. I think unsweetened green tea or black tea is just as beneficial. But since he doesn't even like tea, it will be hard for him to drink either.

You could make green, oolong, or black tea, and add stevia. Stevia has is extremely sweet and been shown to help regulate blood sugar. You could also add some mint if you like that flavor.

Not sure about the Oolong. I read an article about it a while back, can't find it. 🙁

Could also try white tea. Very mild flavor, doesn't taste like most other teas. Not much caffeine either, but it's got other compounds that make you more alert/calm.
