I used to think this ****** was nasty. but I accidently got it a few weeks ago at the gas station and I didn't notice right away. its not nearly as bad as I rememberd and figured it was actually drinkable and made the switch. Its not as sweet but besides that pretty much the same taste.

then today I had a real dew today and I didn't like it way too sweet

did they re do the formula for diet dew recently?

Funny, I had the same realization a few months ago. Did they do anything different??

As a hard core diet dew drinker I can report that yes, they did change the formula two or three months ago. It is much better now, particularly the stuff on tap which is less watered down tasting than it used to be.

good to know. i've only tried it once in the past and it was nasty.

i wish they'd make it with splenda instead of nutrasweet though. actually, zylitol is the best artificial sweetener out there. it actually has health benefits. zylitol appears to inhibit bacterial growth, including growth of Streptococcus mutans -- the main bacteria implicated in dental decay.

i wonder why they can't use zylitol in soda....

Good to know that I'm not the only one that thought that. A year ago I couldn't drink the stuff. Too "diet" tasting. The recent stuff is pretty decent. I thought they changed the formula.

Sucralose is Splenda?.

Sucrose is common, ordinary table sugar.

You seem very confused.

And sucrose is sugar.

And your post in this thread says you wish they'd use Splenda.

Like I said, confused.

No thanks. I like taking solid, predictable sh!ts. Xylitol in large amounts causes the runs... BAD.

Sugar alcohols will do that.

erythritol
isomalt
lactitol
maltitol
mannitol
sorbitol
xylitol

All runny poo inducing.

That's why it's in gum and small treats, not in soda. The amount needed to sweeten soda would cause the trots in most people.
