Diet Coke w/ NutraSweet (aspartame) Vs. Diet Coke w/ Splenda (sucralose)

Splenda is a superior sweetener in all products except for diet sodas, in which case it's fvcking gross. It just doesn't work for sodas. Diet rite, coke with splenda, and new pepsi one all suck.

The Splenda version is crap. Yuck.

What sucks is, the little store in the lobby of the building I work in stopped selling regular diet coke and now just sells the splenda crap. Why I have no idea. All I know is, they always seem to have a full frig of diet coke, as opposed to before when they used to run out. What does that tell you?

They think it's anupgrade. The stuff is nasty though.

Lemme start by saying this: I HATE SPLENDA. I hate Splenda Ice Cream, I hate it in tea, I simply cannot take the taste of it.

HOWEVER, there is something about Diet Coke w/ Splenda that is REDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I honestly think it's a hint of lime that they add to it along w/ Splenda, b/c it really tastes like Coke w/ Lime to me. Anyway, it's awesome, and I PREFER it over normal Coke, which is amazing in itself.

Wow, I'm opposite of that. Splenda sucks out loud in drinks, but it's awesome in ice cream!

I dont like Nutrasweet anything, way too sweet, I have never been a Diet Coke fan, Diet Rite was okay, it was made with Splenda, but I actually like the Diet Coke with Splenda.

I don't really understand the reasoning behind Diet Coke with Splenda. It seems they should be trying to match the taste of regular Coke, but instead they're trying to match the taste of Diet Coke with NutraSweet. I guess they don't want to alienate all the old Diet Coke drinkers that have developed a taste for NutraSweet.

Two observations:

(1) I think Diet Coke with Splenda has a lemony taste to it. It's good at first, but after a while it starts tasting too sweet.

(2) My mother-in-law is a big Diet Coke with NutraSweet drinker. She thinks Diet Coke with Splenda tastes too much like regular Coke.

Yeah, it's as if they actually *tried* to duplicate that nasty aftertaste. That being said, DCw/S is still slightly better than the original DC. I can't stand NutriSweet. Bleh.

The Splenda version is much better than the regular one (which I used to not be able to stand, although I can tolerate it now).
