Coming soon: Die Hard 5
Bruce Willis dusts off the arthritis tablets

Since he's no longer required to save Earth from asteroid armageddon, Bruce Willis has been checking out potential helmsmen for Die Hard 5 - The Zimmer Frame.

Actually, we made that last bit of the title up, since any suggestion that Willis is too geriatric to reprise his role as John McClane would doubtless be a matter for a pack of attack lawyers dressed in sweat-stained cotton vests.

What is probably true, though, is that Noam Murro will direct the fifth outing in the Die Hard franchise, penned by Skip Woods of A-Team, Wolverine and X-Men Origins fame.

I'm guessing in this one he jumps out of a 747 onto the Space Shuttle to get at the bad guys.

He did that movie Surrogates which was a action movie that came out in 09 and did Cop Out which came out last year. He can do action movies fine. He's still in decent shape for his age so I see no reason why he can't do it.

The Die Hard franchise is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. The 3rd one being my favorite.

No one thought they needed a new Rambo or Rocky..and they turned out decent.

As long as his "daughter" is in it, I don't mind:

'live free or die hard' was excellent.

LOL no, it sucked. Die Hard NEEDS to R-rated. You just can't make a good Die Hard movie PG-13.

1 and 2 were so much "harder" and also so much more fun.

Watch on of the back and forths between Dennis Franz and John Mcclain in Die Hard 2, those scenes were solid gold, and you just cant do those when limited by pg13

None of the Die Hard series has been bad. 1 and 4 were excellent, 2 was good and 3 was at least okay. If Bruce could pull it off for Live Free or Die Hard there's no reason to believe that he can't do it for #5 too.

He did a fine job in Red, I have no doubts he'll be good in another Die Hard movie.

It's not like they're pretending he's some 20 year old guy, they integrated the fact that he's older into the last Die Hard movie.

Really? I"m the minority with 3? That kind of surprises me actually....but then I'm also a fan of Samuel Jackson

I liked 3 a lot for a long time. I couldn't understand why people liked 2 so much, I thought it was the worst of the trio.

I then watched 2 again and I finally got it. In the end, the first 3 have got to be one of the best trilogies ever.

Number 4 was not as good but I still liked it.

No way. I think the best one is #1 but then the #2 slot is either #3 or #4 for me depending on my mood. #2 is kind of lame, relatively speaking, but still damn enjoyable.

Die Hard 1 and 2 were great (Admit it, you never saw the twist in 2 coming AND McClane killed a T-1000 Terminator!).

Die Hard 3 and 4 were not as good as 1 and 2, but were still great.

I stop channel surfing when any of them come on.

Both of these things. More Mary Elizabeth Winstead plus John McClane violently kicking people's asses with extreme prejudice. Shoot first, ask questions later like in the earlier films. And little to no CGI. We need something that will be a throwback to the action movies of the 80's and 90's that were mindless entertainment at the same time as being well-made films. Like Expendables, but done right.

I liked 4. Even Justin Long didn't annoy me. I thought it was the funniest save for a few scenes in the beggining of 3.
Timothy Olophant (sp?) is awesome. You should watch Justified.

Die Hard movies rock. I've barely seen 2 and remember it as my least favorite, but I need to see it again as it's been like 10 years.

I thought Die Hard 4 was good after a long time off, so no reason to think this won't be good.

And yes, please more Lucy Mcclane.
