What I saw from the previews... it looked a lot like True Lies' action... true ?

Why did Fox have to insist it being PG-13 ? If they think it will make more money because its PG-13 they are wrong. It only hurts the film without the great punch lines from Die Hard. Though nothing could ever beat the first film. Anyone going to go see this movie ? I was hoping it wouldn't disappoint but I am afraid it will without a R ratings.

Have you actually SEEN the movie? Judging a movie by the rating is pretty stupid man.

What do ratings have to do with how good a movie is? There are plenty of movies that are rated PG-13 that are excellent.

So is designing a movie around a rating. Goddamn MPAA! May 1000 horses rape Jack Valenti's rotting corpse.

What happened to all the action movies of the 80s.. Those kind of movies don't get released often now :(.. Die Hard, True Lies, Van Damme (you gotta love Blood Sport)...:( :(

I'd like to see it but haven't even seen Pirates 3 yet so it's doubtful I'll end up seeing Die Hard, haha.

In 30 years of professional criticism, after seeing perhaps 5,000 movies with my notebook in my sweaty little hand, I can safely say I've never seen anything as ridiculous as "Live Free or Die Hard."

Shock factor?

Yah definitely.

That's like the people on these forums who will post a reply to "The Worst Movies Ever" thread and put something like The Matrix or 300.

When speaking of individual films, nothing really. But when you have a series of films that have a history of edginess/violence/language that warranted an "R" rating and they release one that is PG-13 it makes you skeptical that maybe it isn't the same type of movie as the previous ones.

It's hard to compare an "R" rated movie from 1988 to a PG-13 movie released now though. Some of the stuff they let slide into PG-13 really shocks me.

I saw this movie last night. This movie to me was BAD.ASS. I loved it!!! The pacing was awesome, girls were hot, kevin smith, Mclane's humor and laughter, sweet sweet action, etc. THIS is HOW action movies ARE DONE. minimal CG, sweet stunts, and hire lots of actors who can move like rabbits. I really want to go watch it again. DEFINITLY getting the br/hddvd. Man, I wish they will release all the Die Hards in one ultimate HD package. If it costs $100+ dollars, I'd still get it.

You can say fsck in a pg-13 movie as long as it's not referring to sexual intercourse.

wtf? lol

the rules for that stuff are so damn retarded.

I think Bruce was able to still say one of those but not the other I remember reading for a PG-13 movie.</end quote></div>

He better say MFer with as much as they're advertising the line, "Yippee Ki Yay m..." all over the place.

After seeing it on several buses and at every subway stop, I'd feel cheated if I didn't get to hear Bruce Willis say it at least once.

I took an extended lunch yesterday and saw it. I thought it was a great movie. I am a good friend of the F-word, but I have to admit I didnt even look at the rating. It didnt feel like it had its dialog watered down at all.. The movie works, the rating was a non-issue for me.

I also though the "Mac guy" was going to annoy the sht out of me, but his character actually turned out to fit very well..

The difference between a movie being good or not-so-good is based on swearing? I have read some inane things over the years, but this one cracks the top 10.

Unbelievable.

It was 8.5 but it will go down even further than 8.4 though hoping for it to stay above 8.0 but doubtful.

The imdb score always goes down.
