Didn't take Walker long

To insinuate he anything but a corporatist tool and an ideologue would be wishful thinking..

now so stupid as to make a freshman mistake like this on the other hand...

Ummm.. LK this shit is so quid pro quo I'm not even sure why it warrants a new thread. Governors are charged with hiring between 1000-5000 people each swap, many if not most appointees are donor buddies or donor buddies family. We have the best democracy money can buy!

The story might have a more impact with me if the writer wasn't such a whining cry-baby. Written by a die-hard partisan meant solely for other die-hard partisans.

So, as it stands, I just don't care 😀

Next time the Dems decide to actually be present in Madison, perhaps they will create legislation to make that position appointed by the legislature. Either that or cry some more. Whatever floats their boats.

Besides, what is this thread? "Breaking News: A Politician is A Politician!" Thank you much for bringing this to my attention 😛

Seriously, I live next to Chicago, the center of corruption in the nation. Public unions do nothing to stop it. So why this writer is trying to play on the notion that we must support strong public unions, or else we end up with these hires... uh, no, there is zero relation between them.

One could write the same article with the opposite slant that would be just as valid. Like politicians don't put their friends in positions with little qualifications as the norm? What's next, that Walker likes the TP coming off the bottom of the roll instead of the top?

Look at the White House right now. If you weren't from Chicago, your chances of landing a position were greatly reduced.

Is it right - of course not. Is it business as usual - you bet.

If those criteria were the standard by which P&N posts were judged, greater than 90% of the threads would be locked/deleted... including posts critical of the "side" you have the most gripes with.

Let me get this straight, you are willing to just accept and dismiss blatant political corruption because the reporter tells the story in a "partisan way"?

Now that is mature and intelligent. And next I'll bet that you and others like you will be responding with faux outrage when the same story is written, in the same exact partisan manner by someone that is telling it from your slanted viewpoint because it is directed at "the other side".

corruption?

If you freak leftists would point out it smells/looks bad then fine, but no, you have to go off the deep end whining about "corruption" and then trying to attack the guy's lack of a degree as if that has anything to do with anything. I have no degree yet, I'm a Controls Engineer that has brought in more than half of my office's work so far this year(started here years ago with ZERO experience). I don't have DUI's so maybe that's why you attack the guy... well ... it's Wisconsin - You don't have to look very far to find someone with a DUI or two. If you live in Wisconsin and don't know someone with a DUI then you likely haven't left your parent's basement long enough to meet anyone else. So let's see - DUI -yeah he's a moron that should never drive again - doesn't mean he shouldn't have his job. No degree? Again - doesn't mean he shouldn't have his job. Oh, his daddy contributed money - smells bad sure - BUT DOESN'T mean he shouldn't have his job.

You leftists really need to untwist your panties -this whole Wisconsin thing has caused another psychotic break. Take your meds and calm down. sheesh

Does this have something to do with stripping unions of collective bargaining privileges?
Cause I still support that...

Did you even read it or just spout off the standard right wing nutter talking BS?

The point is this guy has NO EXPERIENCE in this field, NONE. Yet he is now in charge of that group after daddy gave over 100k to the Gov election cycle.
Same type of BS that is going on now in DC with Gray.

Title of "story" linked in OP = "Walker’s Wisconsin: 2 Times Convicted DUI & No Degree Earns $81,500" The "story" did nothing but whine and the posted I quoted claimed "corruption" - neither has anything concrete to point to, to suggest this guy shouldn't have his job. Again, it looks and smells bad but the attacks being used are lame.
