I just watched Steve Jobs keynote in WWDC 2005 and I kept thinking "what planet is this guy live on"

He keeps talking about meaningless numbers of how many people attend, how many apple stores they have keep saying on everything how it is the "most" or "best".

He says how much the Mac market grows more than the PC, how much they have newer technologies.

Steve Jobs should wake up, it's not 1984 anymore, much of what he shows already available for the PC in much cheaper price.

It sad to see a PC icon such as Steve Jobs spitting out lies and delusional sayings.

Watch him

The guy has legions of kids volunteering to purchase and viciously defend overpriced underquality mp3 players, if anyone needs to wake up it's the OP. Jobs is a genius.

Certain traits are required to manage a cult but genius is not one of them. Even so, if a guru drinks his own figurative Flavor Aid® along with his followers, he has certainly crossed over from opportunist to madman. So the question is, does Jobs believe his own spiel and I think the answer is yes. Can Jobstown be long in coming or do venues like WWDC satisify the urge? ;)

It's ok, behind the scenes Steve Jobs is probably using a PC to do his real business.....

Steve Jobs is selling an image to Apple owners of feeling special. Just like When people buy a Mercedes or a BMW. they are great cars, but its also about image and perception of how it makes the buyer feels and he expoits that to his "cult" Macsters.

I tried OSX, its certainly not what iWhores hype it up to be, it is by no means a Windows killer, but it does have its merits. The UI is nice, but goddamnit, I ran back to my house to get my TWO-BUTTONED mouse so I could RIGHT-CLICK.

I like my iPod a lot..

I have used the Zen Micro, the Dell Jukebox and the iRiver.. I like my iPod better than all 3 of those..

I have always liked Mac construction, the G series is the most elegant implementation of computer building I have ever seen.

Arguing with Gurck about audio is like arguing with Peter Gammons about baseball. Consider it a lesson learned.

From the end of the arstechnica article:

Q: Will x86 Macs come with a two-buttons mouse?

A: Hey, we're just taking about moving an entire platform to a new CPU architecture (again). Let's not get crazy!

Compared with Ballmers monkey-dance and Developers! Developers! performance, i think Jobs' presentation is okay.

You're an idiot.

Notice how everything is plugged into my Powerbook...

Yes, all the buttons on the mouse and keyboard work on my Powerbook.

That is bullshit. Trust me, I know know "a little" about audio (pro and consumer, but mainly pro), most probably more than your idol the great audio maistro Gurck. The iPod definitely have its limitations, but Gurcks consistently immature and highly biased rants about it (and its users) are totally out of proportions, and clouds his judgement and diminishes his credibility on the topic.
