Legos used to be cool when they were about making your own stuff. Most legos now are all custom parts for whatever themed robot/house/location you purchased. What happened to the days when you could buy a big bucket of legos and just go nuts?

Ulfwald, I'll send you every lego I take from my kids after every time I step on one with my feet. You should be able to build a full tower in about a month. Damn those things hurt, especially after having 4-5 reconstructive surgeries on my feet!!!!!!!!

Now, I must say legos are "Best. Toy Ever." However, ultra customized pieces these days do suck. Customized pieces, IMHO, went too far with every thing after the Ice Space series legos, though the 2nd gen Blacktrons had way too many customized pieces, and those predate the Ice series. Does anyone remember the original Blacktrons? Those were badass.

of course i played with legos......actually i had this big board, like 4 feet by 8 feet and i bought all the
pieces of road and stuff. I had like an ocean, and then i would make buildings and all sorts of cool
stuff........ah.......those were the days

Amen. I'll take the classic Legos anyday. In fact, I've still got two huge boxes of them in my basement. I think I'm gonna pull'em out sometime this summer and introduce them to my niece.

Nope, I believe you. My cans of legos are still in my closet. Classic and "techno" or whatever they called the fun ones that had motors and all that neat stuff.
