In the year of our Lord 1977, I was seen sporting a Space1999 lunch box around the lunch room and school yard. Being all of seven years old, I thought I was all that and a bag of chips. I also had the thermos bottle:

Yes, I still wax nostalgic over my lunch box. I think I threw it out back in the late 80s when I found rust had started to form. :'(

1. was an NHL one. got that around 1976. it was made of plastic.

2. an all metal one in black. I really liked that one because it survived all the abuse I gave it.

that was for the self-conscious years of middle school and on. Lunch boxes were for the badass years of elementary school when you simply didn't give a fuck what people thought of you.
