Did you overclock your CUBX?

Which CPU and overclock to how(with original heatsink and fan)?
Which display card you used?
PC100 or PC133? CAS2 or CAS3?
Is that stable? Got any problem?

Check out Anand's 440BX@133 MHz motherboard article. The CUBX turned out to be one of the best boards to overclock.

I just got an ASUS CUBX and the overclocking is outstanding. I will post more about that later but I do have a big problem. With Win 2k I can not get it to boot no matter what. Got 98 working fine without a reinstall but not 2k. About half way through the boot it comes up with the blue screen saying that it can't find the boot device. That is only when I am going through the CMD ATA66 IDE controler. It's fine with the boards ATA33 controler. I have tried everything so far to avoid a a new install. Has anyone else had this problem? The CMD controler works fine in 98 and is very fast with the drivers off the ASUS CD. I read somewhere the only way around the 2k boot problem is to reinstall. I hope not!

Got mine up and running last night. Using a P3 550e and 192 megs of PC133 Cas 2 and a Creative Labs Geforce 2. Running at 733(133 fsb) without a problem. Ran 3dmark 2000 this morning and WOW, 6926 3d marks. That`s several thousand higher than my trusty V3 was giving me. So far I am well pleased with the CUBX.

Dennis Travis, regarding your problems loading w2k, give this review a read http://www.gotapex.com/reviews/cubx/index.htm it's a very good review and they loved this board as did anandtech. I remember reading in the review his problem with w2k and the onboard ata66 controller and how to remedy it. and for anyone considering this board it's a very informative well written review. hope this helps

I a plead in my a help with my question on Cubx, however some of you do have a successfully to do with your Cubx board, For Anyhow ? I in one a minor problem is CMD Controller driver, My been once installed on CMD Driver while in Win98SE, After reboot then it been a single crash, Does this a CMD-Driver Bad or Good ?

Please tell me what your suggest for me to do with a solution on Cubx, as I to need to work on This Sunday !

My pleasure Dennis Travis, that was probably the best motherboard review I had ever read. I am nervously anticipating my cubx and celeron 566 and i've been reading about voltage problems on this board. I'm really hoping it will do 850. Can anyone testify to a Celeron 533a/566 oc'd to 100mhz fsb on the cubx?

I HAVE A CUBX AND A 550E HAVE HAD THE BOARD RUNNING FINE BUT WHEN REBOOTING WILL LOCK UP. IF I GO TO BIOS AND WATCH HARDWARE MONITOR VOLTAGES WILL GO WILD AFTER A BIT THEN LOCKS. NOONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHATS UP. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHY?
