Aldi weekly ad showed corned beef brisket on sale for $2.49 /lb. So I went there today to buy some but they were completely out. So I ended up buying couple racks of pork spareribs instead which was on sale for $1.99 /lb. Hopefully, I can find some leftover discounted corned beef this week or next. I want to try making pastrami again.

Corned beef and cabbage with a boiled potato is so lovely. It's a shame I don't eat it barely ever. Why don't we eat such delicious food regularly? These are life's mysteries

We opted not to go for CB&C tonight. While GOOD. Corned beef is good...not many places actually make it GOOD.

Yep. I take advantage of the sales this time of the year (flat cut $1.88 a pound) and buy several packages of corned beef to have in the freezer. Last night we did the usual corned beef and cabbage, red potatoes and carrots. A month or two from now I'll pull out another package and make Reubens.

I can't find cheap corned beef. Aldi had it on sale for $2.49 /lb this week but that expired yesterday and my local store was sold out. All other retailers are still ~$4 /lb. That's decent but I'm looking for clearance steal. Anyone know a source?

I did mine in the crock pot this year too. First time I ever tried it that way and it came out great.

20-30 min before its done depending on size of potato

i ate it out on friday and im cooking it myself today
