No... about 100 people at mine. I don't even know 500-600 people, let alone like enough to invite them to my wedding.

Same here. I don't think I could come up with 20 people to invite without my wife to help😱

we had probably about 300 people. then we went on a 7 day caribbean cruise... sometimes we wish we would have just had a small wedding, and had a bigger honeymoon. but then again, the honeymoon was kickass

arranged wedding?

i ask out of curiosity and my own ignorance or indian culture.

Mine was. My Mom picked, she asked me how I liked the girl and then I told her she was good looking, then after 6 months, went to india got married

Ugh, since I'm feeling nice today I'll refrain from comment, but its hard.

What's your problem if he is happy?

Not married yet but I'd say when I do probably 50-100 not more lol where do you guys get 300+ and stuff from that's pretty intense...

my wedding is gonna have about 30 total - how do you afford weddingd with 100+ ppl??

and where do you put them?

Me no married, but sister had 600ish. Yes, we are Indian.

Btw, for most Indian parents, saving for daughter's marriage is just like saving for college, etc.

We paid for our own wedding, and had probably 100 people (don't really remember to be honest). We went about as low budget as we could - Mom did most of the catering, etc. - and still spent almost 7 grand. I have an uncle that spent $50K each for his two daughter's weddings within a year of each other. They were both divorced within two years. I'm happy to have three boys 🙂

My father-in-law paid for it... and we put them all in a reception hall.

He's US military... I'mm not sure he's allowed his own opinion, so we'll just ignore him..

see that's the problem with customs... we're asian... and of course the guy is supposed to pay... but we're in America so her dad should've paid.

I need to know from ATOT... should I divorce her now ?

Nope. About 5 people came (my parents, his parents, my sister, maybe my brother).

"Came" is past tense so this already happened... then you say "maybe my brother"

You dont know if your own brother came to your wedding when there was only "about 5" people there?

wow.
