If this was not a hoax, patenting the method would have brought in litterally billions in licensing fees. This material covers the complete explanation of how inventor Edwin Gray, Sr. produced what he called "Cold Electricity". In the early 1970's,

Depends on your definiton of "free". Do I believe cleaner, more renewable energy sources are available? Of course. Can you create energy from nothing? Of course not. The law of conservation of energy (or mass, same difference) says no dice.

If there was really anything like this...or if this is of course somehow real. Corporations would never let it get through and everyone would be paid off to ignore the discovery because business's would fall.

We have a whole bunch of Indian casinos here in CA and every one of them practically guarantees in their advertising that you will be a winner and walk away with far more money than you arrived with. I'm going to the Pechanga Casino tonight and tomorrow I'm going to call up my boss and tell him where to stick it because I'm going to rack up at least a million dollars in winnings.

Yup, you think the oil companies or electric companies would let something like this continue. Hell no. They would kill for it, that way when they do run out of oil, they can be our saviour by bringing about this new clean, free energy, and charge up the wazoo to get it to you.

think you got that backward.

Here's something I always wanted to investigate.
Make a vehicle that weighs about 100 pounds for hte fram/wheels. Tubular aluminum or titanoium or something. Basically set it up so four people are in the position that you would require for a bicycle. Have everybody peddle to get the bike moving on level/upgrades. When on a downgrade, everyone could still peddle, but instead charge a battery bank. On uphills, the stored poewr in the batteries could aid in gettting hte people uphill.
In 5 years time probably, capacitors will be a viable option to battery based storage, so eventually, everytihng would be lighter.
By making an aerodynamic shell around everyone, isn't it possible to keep a velocity of say 20-30 miles per hour quite easily over a long distance?
Anybody in CT/RI willing to try this out?

Capacitors store electrical energy. They don't convert chemical energy into electrical energy.... they're not really analogous to a battery.
In your above mentioned plan, I'm sure you could store the captured energy in capacitors.. but I think a capacitor large enough to store tens of amphours would be quite large and heavy, moreso than a lead-acid battery..![]()
