Yep. Dinky little church that doesn't pass an offering plate (there's a box in the back if you want to contribute), doesn't even have fifty people, runs on a budget of about $700/week, and has an insightful, honest, and humble pastor that I enjoy.

He asked a question, nothing more. Yes or no answer, no sly remarks necessary.

You're not a mod, so shut yer hole. It's a free forum, deal with it.

Well I find it silly that people who don't believe in God tell those that do to stop cramming it in their throats that they're going to hell. Now that they aren't, what do they get? The same disrespect. So you shut your hole too. I get to say what I want. Deal with it. :)

EDIT: Nevermind, I see a majority of your posts is from P & N. Now I understand. :D

yeah i did go to church.. actually i go to a church that was started about six months ago.. and like HotChic's church, they do not pass an offering plate in front of you. Rather there is a basket in the back for any contributions that anybody has to give.
Right now we're working on construction in the church and its great to see a group of guys from the church in there, including the pastor, getting their hands dirty and so forth...

No, but it was an exception. I was travelling home from NY. I was taking pics of Niagara Falls when I would have usually been in church.

Nope, I haven't been in a few years. I have nothing against it though, just not very religious I guess.

slept in, then ate some cake.

to be honest for a while now I have felt that the "number of churchgoers" or "number of christians " in america has been inflated. I've got nothing against churgoers or christianity, but it has been my experience that a large number of the young or middle aged people I know are either completely non-religious or follow a different faith.

Oh and btw the coolest church in the world is across the street from me, its in a plain low 1 story building , is somewhat urban and has a largely african american membership. Every few sundays though, most of them wear the exact same purple suit to church, its impressive, also the kids get to come outside and dance.

I would start going to church if they paid me $18/hour...

I'd even pretend to be a Christian (well at least I would get paid for it unlike a lot of the other pretenders that go)

You're the one acting like a sanctimonious prick. Where did I say anyone is going to hell?! It's no one else's problem other than your own if you can't see a tongue-in-cheek remark when it's posted, EVEN IF IT'S CLEARLY STATED. You need help, particulary with reading and comprehension.

Nevermind, I see a majority of your posts is from P & N. Now I understand.

Gee, I'm just stinging with indignation. How ever shall I deal with this?! :(

See what I mean with being preoccupied with P & N? Now you call me names. :D Neither did I say that you were telling me to go to hell. People in here are indirectly saying the going to church and the people that go to it is stupid. No one in here said people that don't go to church are stupid. Nevermind, people like you are too hot to begin with and any hope of a rational conversation with you is non-existant UNLESS we share the same opinion. :(
