Did you get into your dream school?

DaWhim

Lifer
well, I didn't.

A girl that I know got it tho. I was pissed when I first heard that beacause she probably would not apply to it if she didn't hear anything about that school from me. it was a small liberal arts school.

I was looking at her facebook and suddenly felt that I was glad they waiting listed me a few years ago. I like the school that I go now.

I have come to the realization that no matter what school i went to i still would have got the same education. i'd have transfered to a cheaper school, but I made so many good friends freshman year.

Got into my dream school (MIT) and I'm a junior now. The work here kills you and I'm sure I'd have much more free time at another college, but I'm happy here. Great students and profs here for the most part, and I'm sure I'll be well positioned for my first job. I just wish I got more sleep hah

skidmore, bet you never heard of it.

yeah.. haven't heard of it but I've heard of Smith, Swarthmore, Harvey Mudd, Oberlin and etc.

What was on her facebook that made you feel glad you were waitlisted? 😎

haha....you got me.
apparently, 404 cute or hot asian girls not found. 😉

of course, the school I go to now got alot more to offer than that small liberal arts school. I don't think I could get a car or enjoy the same independence I enjoy now, if I got into that.

that's true for any science based program at any decent school.

I went to SC and when I was there, the football program was crap.

Robinson
Hackett

here is my deal.

in high school i wasnt the perfect student, but i wasnt dumb either. well in high school my dream was to go to a&m university or lol my mom's dream MIT. haha

when i graduated from HS i didnt get admitted to a&m and i knew thats where i wanted to go. i could of gone to local university here or somewhere where i got accepted but i decided to just attend community college for 2 yrs and then transfer. 2yrs later i got accepted to the school i wanted to go to.

just work hard, keep in touch w/ the dean/advisors of the school, so when they see your profile they'll know who you are and be more leniant into accepting you to the school. believe me i been there.

goodluck.

now that my younger sister goes to UT Austin, i wish i applied there haha. the environment over there is so more favorable to me than what college station offers. sighhhh

I got accepted to uPenn, it's free for me (pay room/board/food, but tuition is free)
dunno how it's gonna turn out
will tell you in a year

I got accepted at my top school of choice, including a $10,000 scolarship, but turned it down for a free ride elsewhere.

(And left there) 😛

I got into mine and about to graduate in a week from it!

Starting work in a related field this summer!

Hey hey, my friend (who happens to be a cute asian girl- japanese) goes to Skidmore. I visited and can't stand the place though.

Anyways, got into my "dream" school but i'm a failure. Love it but dunno if I can stay (long, emo-ridden story).

i had no dream school, but I landed in a college students dream at ASU. Great weather (except the summer months), the hottest female student body (well texas and ASU are interchangeable), and a very respectable accounting program that will easily get me into whatever initial accounting firm I wish to start with. Couldn't ask for anything better. Had a chance to do econ at UC Berkeley, but I think this will be better for me overall

I got in to the school I wanted to go and loved it. Loved my time there.

Koing

I only applied to one school b/c I knew that's exactly where I wanted to go (for many reasons)

and have loved it!

edit: although I wouldn't mind at all having the girls of asu.

I got into my "dream school" @ RIT. I hated it the first year, but it toughed it out as I hated it more and more each year. I graduated though

My dream school is Harvard Business for a joint MBA/JD because I want to be a sports agent, so not yet, but hopefully I'm on my way to it. I currently have a 3.9GPA at Brandeis as a Junior BTW

i got my third choice for law school, which i guess was a dream school too. it's turned out great, and if i had to do it all over again, this would be my first choice.

where is the pic to back it up?

I got into my life-long dream school, visited it, and then decided it wasn't the place for me. It's funny how life works out... I don't regret my decision at all.
