Did you frame your degree? if yes

Mine is sitting in a cardboard box in the crawlspace, unframed. It is the least of my accomplishments in life and I can think of no good reason to attempt to brag about it by framing it and hanging it on the wall. The only reason I can ever see for doing that is if it is a requirement of the profession (such as Doctor / Lawyer, etc.). Even then, I would tend to do it very low key and earn my reputation through hard work and good service as opposed to thinking a piece of paper hanging in a nice frame made me somehow special.

Probably $10 at Target.

my school sold frames for about $150 or so. One of my friends insisted it was a good investment. Then again, he went to this expensive private school on his rich daddy's ollar and doesn't have much of a concept of money.

Good investment? What's the ROI? Is there a prospectus?

I didn't frame mine...it's only a bachelor's, after all. When I get my PhD, then we'll talk.

You're clever, in a douchey kind of way.

Maybe it appreciates in non-monetary value, utility if you will.

Helping to fuel the size of your mental penis when guests come over and see it on your wall? 😉

I've never actually thought about framing mine. Maybe if I get that corner office with a harbour view i'll have them framed and displayed, lol.

Oh, some guy I know has some really rich friends and the parents of one of said rich friends paid for a full out matting/mounting of her and her fiance's bachelor degrees... Like $800 custom jobs in the fancy molding deep setting type deals.

All the universities in my state do not put what your degree is on the paper. So all mine says is that I have a Bachelors of Science. Friking LAME.

I'm not even sure where mine is. I didn't go to my graduation, so i'm guessing it got mailed to my parents house. That was 3 years ago, so who knows.

no but i frame my sexual harassment in work place certificate.. being that im the biggest harasser .. haha

At one of my jobs i had a framed personalized autographed picture of R. Lee Ermey on my desk. 😀 That got a lot of "WTF's" from my coworkers.

My undergrad degree looks like shit. I could've done a better job with crayons and glitter. I almost sent it back. It's folded in half somewhere in a folder.

If they ever decide to mail my Florida PE certicate, I plan to frame it. It'll probably go in a $10 Target frame...

I can't believe you guys that are saying you don't have it framed because it isn't important. Look at your weekly paycheck, then look at what it would be if you were working for minimum wage. The difference is that little piece of paper you care so little about and the process you went through to get it. Displaying it is not a vanity thing, it's a symbol that you've paid your dues and are qualified to have the job you do. I'm not saying you have to give $200 for a frame, but at least shell out $10-20 at Wal-mart and hang the thing on the wall!!!

Its just a piece of paper, seriously, who gives a shit.

Get the degree to say you have a degree in "insert degree here" then wipe your ass with the papers.

Mine has been at the frame shop for about 9 years so far.

I don't have a degree and I don't make minimum wage. Not even close.

I and, everyone that needs to know what I accomplished, already knows it, so there is no need for me to hang anything on a wall to prove it to anyone. Whether I have the actual pece of paper or not is quite irrelevant; since I was officially notified I passed, that's all I needed to know. I also only went to one of my graduation ceremonies, because there was no point in attending the other ones.

Not only that, one who goes to get an education simply for the paycheck they'll get afterwards is a fool.

i havent framed mine yet but money will be no object once i start a reasonable income. i wouldnt hang it up anywhere but the house though.

Don't have mine yet, but for high school diploma and other achievements: no. I know some people who spent about $50-$80 to frame their degrees they still have no use for.

The piece of paper means nothing. If someone steals it, I don't have to go to college for 4 more years to get it back. The knowledge and accreditation is what matters. THAT is what's important.

I have yet to take a job which asked me to bring in my framed diploma to prove that I have a degree.
