I use whatever's packaged with the desktop. Hit [Print Screen] and figure it out from there. Plasma's confuses me a little. Seems overly complicated. Xfce's works great for my purposes.

Are you trying to get a job here as an influencer? Sorry to disappoint, the main website is gone.

LMDE has Screenshot tool that comes from within.

Fedora with KDE Plasma automatically uses print screen to take a screenshot but you can click and drag to determine the size of it.

So it depends on your distro.. which one are you using?

Now to be fair, FireShot can screen cap the entire webpage, as in scrolling down. So it is more useful than print screen

I don't get anything "added recently" on debian :^D

I'm looking forward to some new stuff when Trixie gets released.

good eveing dear mates :)

well i just have heard from FlameShot last week and i just wanted to discuss this "screenshot-tool" with you - wanted to know if it is used by others here.
#thats all - nothing special.

in the meantime i have installed it and gave it a try. And i have to say its pretty nice - and i guess that its useful and has some nice features.

thank you for all the comments - for the heads up and - okay : also for the words of "dissapointment" - i surely did not want to come up with anything useless or hmm - something that does not fit in the forums.

no - never!

Above all - i am so glad to be here in the forums - its a great place for idea sharing and knowledge exchange!! Thank you so much.. Keep up the great work!!

Best,
matze:)

I just use my Polaroid camera to take a picture of the screen and then scan the photograph when I need a screenshot THE WAY THAT GOD INTENDED!
I use my phone to screen cap videos of things sometimes as it's easier. I do feel icky doing it though.

I have seen people fill out PDF form, print them, then scan and email the result...
So once I had a PDF emailed to me that needed signing. Only having a mobile phone on me and not being able to leave the place I was staying (that had no computers or printers or scanners) I had to forward it to my wife who printed it out. She then posted it it me, I signed it, posted it back to her and she scanned it and emailed that back to me. Then I emailed it in!

I mean I was pretty bored at the time and needed something to do but still...

Or they take pictures of the form with their fancy iPhone and the image attached is like the thumbnail version as opposed to full resolution.

The last cad monkey we had would generate points in autocad, print them out, scan them, then send me the scan in an email when I called in from the field needing points. This is plain ascii text. Most of the time, it was only a few points. and would've been fine in the email body. Long lists would've been better with a txt file, but he chose the absolute dumbest way to do it.

edit:
This is the guy I showed my new trackball to in the early 90s. He slides the whole unit on the desktop, and tells me it wouldn't work for him. I just thought "Right...", collected my trackball, and took it to my computer. To this day I don't know if he was making a funny, or if he was that stupid. I'm leaning towards "stupid".
