Yes, briefly. Didn't cover anything about homosexuality, just strictly male + female sex. I was 16 I guess. I had never had a girl-friend nor been on a date.

It was right in the middle of the season premiere of Star Trek: TNG, so I wasn't paying a lot of attention.
Something is amusing about this particular combination...

nope I don't remember the specific moment, but it probably had something to do with finding my dad's playboy magazines

Mum gave us the talk when I was 8? And yes, I died of embarrasment every single time she wanted to have 'the talk'. Another embarrassing talk was the 'inappropriate touching' talk - and she talked that to death.

Enter teen years - 'I will kill you if you give me illigimate grandchildren" haha
3 Illigitimate grandchildren later and we still live.

There was no reason to have the talk with the way my dad commented on the women he saw. I pretty much knew how it all happened by the time I was 5.

Nope never. My dad was from the old school where you just didn't talk about stuff like that in the home, I was scared to even think about it with them in the room. My mom was the wash mouth out with soap type, and yes she literally did do that to me once.

On another note - for those of the 'older' crowd on ATOT - have you or do you plan on having "the talk" with your children anytime recently/soon?

I tried to have the talk. It didn't work out. She was 10 and before I could say anything out came the words from her "I know about boys, penis's and getting pregnant ". I replied "okay , glad we had this talk" , then hurried out of the room.

Not specifically but my family has always been extreamly open about just about anything. I've talked to my father about sex, sexuality, and women. Both my father and I often point out sexy girls walking down the street or in film. But I guess me still being a virgin and never having dated it wouldn't really naturally come up. I've even talked to my parents about this (about not yet having dated and wanting sex).
