My record in school was 12-2-1, with 1 "no decision."
You always think there is no way out of a fight, but looking back, I could tell that there always was a way out. If only I knew then what I know now...

I would have been 16-0!!!!!!

I was a major-leage puss when I was in grade school. I used to get picked on alot because I had good grades, and didn't have the common sense to defend myself. I finally had enough of it and beat the piss out of a guy who was regarded as one of the "tough kids" in my class. No one ever bothered me ever again.

I went through the same stuff in high school, until I whooped on some dumbass there too.

Those were my two school fights.

I got in a fight once with a girl in 4th grade. Her name was Marina and she stole my swing, so I punched her in the arm. She hated me from then on. Then, when we got to 8th grade, she decided she wanted to beat me up because some guy she liked, liked me. She was much bigger than me by that time, so I was very scared. She chased me around the hall and down to the cafeteria before a teacher stopped her. All through high school she would harass me and and threaten to beat me up. Then, my freshman year in college, I came home for Christmas break and decided to stop at the Burger King for lunch. I placed my order and drove up to the window and there was Marina - she was the drive-thru window worker. When she saw it was me, she literally threw my change at me and walked away from the window. Someone else had to give me my food. And all because of a swing... :)

yup, In second grade. I got suspended, for some reason the others didn't... It wasn't even my fault!!!

There was a, um, slightly overwieght girl (a friend - no not that kind of friend, it was second grade!!), and these 3 idiots (one was the headmasters son - hence the unfair treatment of myself) were chasing her calling here fatso, etc. I in an everso stupid way, walked right up to them and told them to stop. They all dog piled on me, one got a black eye, I got suspended. End of story.

"Glad to hear that you don't look for fights anymore, but why do so in the first place? I never did and I still don't .."

I am hispanic and grew up in a bad neigberhood. Everyone always talks about how they want to beat someone up in my neighberhood and alot of fights happen, in "Miami High" theres an ambulance everyday on the school because someone always get stabed or really messed up.

My older brother was in a gang in highschool when i was in elementary and i grew up thinking gangs were cool and no one could beat me up. I was always looking for fights and always got in them.

I changed because my brother changed and hes currently going to university and working at some hotel down here in miami as i forgat what but all i know is his getting paid 20 an hour.

I dont look for fights anymore but i wont back down from one either.

I've gotten into a few "fights" before...most of them cannot even be considered an actual fight b/c they were just a few exchanges of fists...here are some of my tales:

1) Me and my friends were playing basketball with this guy and his brothers. the game started getting pretty rough and tension grew. this guy called a foul, my friend ignored him, so he came after my friend like a rabid dog. the guy pushed him down and started kicking his ass. friend #2 jumped on the asshole's back and started pounding his head but the asshole threw friend #2 off. I was just standing there, sorta dazed at what was happening but then decided to come to their rescue...I came up to asshole and socked him one in the nose. then I ran :(. actually, I was taunting him by running and yelling "run forest, run!" (hey, that was a few years ago...gimme a break). then I stopped and he socked him in the eye. then we just all walked home. 2 years later, we played basketball again - this time it was pretty friendly. I don't like to admit this, but he's been holding a grudge and trained himself so he's much stronger and can kick my ass. but then again, we now live about 1 thousand miles apart: he lives in cali, and I moved up to hicktown, ohio.

2) I was bullying this guy - I'm usually never the one to pick on someone but he was acting all "bad." since i was bigger and older, he was scared of me so he tried to even up the match a bit: he got one of those ring screws (basically a screw with an end shaped in a circle) and put it onto his fingers. I was pushing him and he swung at me and got me in the arm and I bled. so I kicked him onto the ground then this adult saw us and yelled at us so I just walked off. about a year later, some guys were picking on him and I told them to stop.

3) my most recent one and my first REAL fight: in my sophmore year (last year), this red head kept on insulting me and wanted to kick my ass. so one day after school, we walked off school campus to fight and there were a few spectators. then we duked it out: we came at each other, mostly wrestling each other to the ground and stuff. then I socked him in the head a few times and he punched me in the cheek and tore a bit of the skin off: he was wearing a RING while I wasn't even armed at all. then we were circling each other and he punched me right in the eye...yes, the fist w/ the ring..it made a little red mark. then we circled each other a few times and he decided to call it quits b/c he was "tired of kicking my ass" (his own words). keep on mind I was still up and ready to keep on fighting. but since he wasn't willing to fight anymore, we just walked off and scheduled a fight for next week, same time, same place. the next day, he came over and said that he was "too smart to get into a fight with you...I got a headache from you bashing my head." so we decided to call a truce. later on, he was bragging to my friend he kicked my ass. I couldn't really defend myself from that b/c I had visible marks from the fight (scratched cheek and a light purple eye). regardless, we're now friends: we sit together at lunch and would always say hi to each other in the halls.

moral of my story: guys are pugnacious...a lot of us are always more than willing to get into a fight so we become assholes. then we beat the crap out of each other. afterwards, we gain each other's respect and become friends...or at least neutral.

currently, I try to steer away from fights b/c I dont' want to get suspended: I would be risking too much. and not not many, if any, are really giving me any grief. they just see me as this computer geek guy who never talks and leave me alone.

and most or all of the people who posted have at least won a fight. come on, I'm pretty sure there are some of you who never won any fights...share your pains to a community of empathizing geeks :)
