Did this police fire in self defense?

From the video, that doesn't look remotely like self defense. He pretty much sticks his feet under the car tires and is never directly in front of the car.

Yea that was not self defense. Also note he was not in a full uniform. If a car comes racing up behind you and someone in street cloths runs up and points a gun in your face are you not going to try and get away?

I'm sure our police apologists will be in here shortly to explain why it's a good shoot and the system worked, and a fine outstanding cop goes home safe once again.

The other 99% of the population will all agree that it wasn't a good shoot, he wasn't being run over, and doesn't understand how cops continue to get away with murder.
