i bought an a7v133 and it has onboard sound...but it doesn't work at all. i'm guessing it's supposed to be an a7v133-c, but has the 17v133 bios. can anyone verify that they put sound on the original a7v133? and if they did, why isn't anything detecting the onboard sound? (yes, the jumpers are all correct and no, it says NOTHING about sound in the BIOS setup). what's the chances i can flash the board with the a7v133-c BIOS?

the original asus a7v133 comes in 2 versions... one with onboard sound, and one without

have you checked in the bios to make sure the onboard sound controller is enabled?

i just reread your post :)

dont flash an a7v133 with the a7v133-c bios!!!

in the bios go to "advanced" then "i/o device config" then "onboard peripheral" thats where you find can turn it on/off

I have my A7V133 rev 1.04 from last March (and still running like a champ). It has onboard sound.
