yeah, I know.. It's not like the cast agreeing to sign on for another movie was a big enough hint or something? God forbid they follow the comics...
 
I'm OK with the series though, esp if Kirsten Dunst sticks with the movies. Mmmmm... Dunst...

heh kirsten dunst...before i saw the movie i was like..oh great her..why her....but now that i saw the movie i think she did a great job.. 😀
 
It's just like the X-Men movie. This first movie was only meant to be an intro, to get the people who've been living under rocks familiar with his powers and introduce all the main characters. The second movie will be much more action since he's already got his powers, he's familiar with them, and the major backstory of his uncle Ben being killed is already done.

Oh and they probably didn't show a topless Kirsten Dunst because they are saving it for the second movie.

the original idea was to create a franchise. few of the studio execs had any doubts the first would make
gobs of moolah and a series would be born. heck they're even trying to revive the superman films.

I saw Stan Lee as well. In the scene where the Green Goblin blows up the World Unity fest, Stan the Man is grabbing some little girl and pulling her out of the way.

Those were all originally from Army of Darkness, a very campy/hilarious Sam Raimi movie staring Bruce Campbell.
He's a very well known B-movie star, probably the most well known (he has the charisma to never make it as a superstar... He's jsut too funny with the one-liners)

Any Sam Raimi movie that is made has at least a cameo by Bruce Campbell. This is because the Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness series put Sam on the map. Plus those two people are very good friends. In the Spider-Man movie, the person who calls Peter Spider-Man for the first time is Bruce Campbell. He had a cameo in this movie as a ring announcer.

EDIT: Wasn't that thief guy on Xena Bruce Campbell also? And I believe the star of Jack of All Trades was Bruce Campbell also.
