I think most people believe they found him, he had a trial, was acquitted, and his initials are of one of my favorite juices. I never paid much attention to that case, though. It's possible he was innocent, but it seems the majority of people don't think so.

Read up on the case. OJ did it, but the police and DA (mostly the police) ROYALLY screwed up the case and all the evidence.

The OJ case is almost a case study on what NOT to do with your evidence and major crime scenes.

He lost in civil court and got ~30 years IIRC?

They railroaded in in NV and he is currently in prison service time not for the crime he was convicted of but for the crime he was found not guilty of.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're intending to say but civil court has nothing to do with convictions and jail time. Just punitive damages.

He is in jail for what happened in Las Vegas when he and some friends tried to retrieve property of his at gun point.

They found plenty of leads on who might have killed Ronald and Nicole.

Just about all of them point to OJ Simpson.

OJ said he would dedicate the rest of his life to finding the real killer. He searched every golf resort he could find.

Wut? I thought the catch with our court system is that you can be tried for the same crime - once in criminal court and once in civil court. Are you saying civil court can only judge against things like... money? Not jail time?

That's correct.

There is little doubt among reasonable people that OJ was indeed the killer. I didnt want to believe it back then. He seemed like a nice guy. I watched a little bit of the coverage of the trial. Later I read up on it. There was a lot of evidence that never made it in. He killed them.

No. OJ was looking for the killer...but got side-tracked by a short stint in prison...He'll be back on the hunt in about 25 years or so...sooner with good behavior.

What kind of leads would anyone expect when the killer is already in prison and will remain there for a long time?
