I was lurking the dslr forum and came upon this interesting link
Link

So I checked the official team page at seti and it says 1) Bandai - Join DSLR now! Help us win the DSLR vs AnandTech SETI race!
and Stone's name is gone. I hope this isn't it true or it would really suck.

I believe Bandai just changed his name to that to recruit more people! Stone might be gone though:(

I just ran SetiTEAM and it looks like Bandai just change his name to "Bandai - Join DSLR now! Help us win the DSLR vs AnandTech SETI race!" You are right about Stone though. He's no where to be found on there at all. I wonder what gives? Maybe he to is doing a name change as well...

Bandai is certainly a name change...

As for Stone... not even their team knows yet : Link

We shall see...

EDIT: I say, let's keep the speculation to a minimum at this time and focus on the problem at hand which involves MORE.. MORE... MORE...

Bandai changed his name so it so him gone in SetiTeam bu rejoining under the his new name that you see on Berkeley.

As for Stone, I am not sure what is up with that. I would suggest we keep the speculation down for a little while till things shake out over at DSLR. I am sure if you keep your eyes open over there an answer will show up sooner or later.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Stone show back up just in time to do a huge weekly dump, per the ROE. :(

That would suck if Stone left DSLR. :(

His dumps make us work harder, and help DSLR keep up with us. :)

Now they have lost a member named Spenser w/ 3,586 WUs :(

This is not fun. I hate it when someone leaves us and I find no joy whatsoever in seeing the same thing happening to Dslr Team Starfire.

I agree Smokeball :(

Sad to see anyone leave either team :(

As for the TeAm...

Why would they leave in the middle of a race, why would they join then leave period? Sorry Team Starfire, that is not good.

It really sucks if you have ONE or TWO members producing most of your WU's. You need a strong TEAM to produce. That is what we have here, many people producing a good amount of WU's.

Don't worry about DSLR, they're a very strong team. Look at how fast they put it together. They'll bounce back. :)

If they crunch the WU's while they are gone from the team, then rejoin just to dump them, those WU's would not count, though, correct?

Unless it was a name change, they probably would be treated like a new member join, and existing WUs wouldn't coun't for the race. Which would then exclude a lot of the WUs cracked during the race.

I don't see how this would be a plus for anyone.

That is correct unless there was a fluke at Berkeley that removed him from the team or some other REAL good excuse.
