During Yanks-Sox game ESPN commentator John Miller asked Kerry a couple of simple questions, to which Kerry still couldn't give a straight answer. Here's a close transcript of what happened:

John: So, senator Kerry, what's your thought on DH rule?
Kerry: I don't like it.
John: So you wish it wasn't part of the game?
Kerry: Well, I don't know, I just don't like.
John: So would you like for American League to abandon that rule?
Kerry: I'm not gonna say that, I just don't like it.
John: Ok, what about Pete Rose? Should he be allowed into hall of fame?
Kerry: Pete Rose is a terrific player, but this is a complicated issue.
John: But if it was up to you, would you let him in?
Kerry: I don't know, this is a very difficult question.

Heheh, nice going Kerry, good to see that you make quick decissions. Btw, at least President Bush could throw a strike :)

Those were yes or no questions. A yes or no answer would've been great. He pretty much avoided giving straight answers, which goes in line with my general perception of him.

Wait a sec, so you're saying that because he doesn't want his views of baseball in the next Bush campaign add you don't like him? Are you crazy? What if he doesn't know much about baseball? What if he doesn't care but didn't want to say "actually I don't give a damn cause I hate baseball"? I can't believe people are dumb enough to use a president's answers to questions about baseball to base a voting decision. That's just unbelieveable.

It's not that unbelievable. Remember almost as many people voted for the Dub in 2000 as voted for Gore.

Where did I say that his answers to a baseball game are gonna affect my decissions? I was just pointing out his inability to give straight answers. Seems like you're the one who gets all excited over nothing. What's wrong with saying "i don't know" or "or i don't have an opinion on this". Either way, I won't vote for Kerry just for being a red sox fan. So there - enjoy the rest of your day.

He's probably not even a baseball fan. He's may just be another politician acting as if he's a baseball fan.

I like how people take everything so seriously these days. You can't even say "hi" without offending somebody. It's a truly sad age we live in.

Man...don't rag on that.

It depends on what the definition of is, "is".

That was President Clinton, the biggest bad ass the office had ever seen....*sniff *sniff I want him back.

But yea I mean OooooOOOoh He stalled on a baseball question....uhhh ohhh. I don't even know the answer, although I think its about the ability to substitute a pitcher. Honestly, I'm glad kerry isn messing around paying attention to Pete Rose's ability to get into the Hall of Fame. I can stump bush with algebra questions.

www.jibjab.com IS AWSOME.

from the ny post:

"Only Red Sox groupie John Kerry threw a baseball worse than Jose Contreras last night at Fenway Park. Kerry, the feeble-armed Democratic presidential hopeful, didn't throw the ceremonial first pitch from atop the mound and still failed to reach home plate."

I don't think people were taking you to serious, just pointing out how lame this post is...

Interviewer: Mr. Kerry, do you love your mother?
Kerry: I think motherhood is a wonderful institution and we should all respect the sacrifices our mothers have made
Interviewer: But do you love YOUR mother?
Kerry: My mother is a wonderful person in her own right and is deserving of a son's love
Interviewer: Yes or No, Do YOU love YOUR mother?
Kerry: I'd like to think that all boys love and respect both parents, why should we single out mothers?
Interviewer: ENGLISH MOTHERFVCKER! DO YOU SPEAK IT?

Reading that looks like he wasn't willing to admit that he had no clue what the DH rule was, or any real info on the Pete Rose incidents.

I might be going out on a limb here in saying this, but I think the OP might have had more respect if he just came out and said he didn't give a damn about baseball and was honest about it....I know I would have respected him for that or anyone other politician who was honest.
