I was finally able to find the thread about a question about hanging himself.....it has bothered me for some quite time, and i doubt that any of you know Skyclad1uhm1 personally...

I hung out with him one day at a computer convention when i was living in the netherlands for half a year..... Lemme see if i have his email address around...

I dunno... that's a month after he posted that thread, maybe he just quit Anandtech? He did say he was going to cut back on news sources. I do remember a thread someone posted from another forum where the guy posted saying he was going to kill himself and they verified that he actually did it.
 
looks like he turned to ATOT to help him - i think. people were actually trying to help him - giving techniques. not cool 🙁
 
I got more and more depressed by reading in the news what humans were doing to eachother, and concluded that if I would keep feeding my hunger for news I would indeed get depressed to the level where I most likely would take the final step. I then decided for a while to stop reading any news for a while, including all the sites like ATOT on which news gets posted.

A few people from the RtCW clan I used to be in (and still am in, considering we never disbanded it) mentioned some ATOTers contacting them, so I decided to post on here. Just didn't get around to it until now.

My apologies for getting people worried, at the moment depression is not so bad that I'll be considering suicide as a way out. But I'm still careful with how much and what kind of news I read.

I had no idea that there was a thought that you were going to kill yourself as I've cut back on my forum time drastically too, but as soon as I saw this thread I was kinda worried.
I'm glad to hear that you are still kickin' around buddy.:thumbsup:
