Did Romney really want to run for President?

Since a lot of people did not vote, the 53% comment is totally uncredible. However, it may be true that people who voted for Romney did not want him to run either. We vote for the idiots that played their part best in the primaries. I think voter turnout was down because they did not want to vote for O'Bamma and their hatred of Mormons did not allow them to vote for Romney. This election brings out a reflection of the levels of Hatred in America. We are taught to hate or follow a particular agenda over another one.

Greed, Hate, Envy of rich, Love of the Black President . . .
That and Obama was simply the better person for the job. Also, Romney got rich looting viable companies and exporting American manufacturing jobs to China.

So, if Romney hadn't run, then Paul would have been in 1st place in the Republican party?? If this is true, then why wasn't he in 2nd place? Or 3rd within the party?

And that's without a lot of press coverage. Once his views became more publicly known, more people would have been laughing at some of his idiotic ideas.

yes he did.

Ask anyone in the know about the "White Horse Prophecy"

Then consider that Mitt Romney's mother wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant again then she had him.

Then we have Romney turning the water into whine......

Then we have Romney healing the lame Republican.....

the list goes on and on.....

romney spent the last 8 years running for president and the last 20 trying to set a run for president up. of course he wanted to run for president, he just didnt want to lose a race for president

He wanted the presidency handed to him, like he's pretty much had everything in life handed to him.

None of his ideas are idiotic. As for the places... they didn't count the places. Gingrich and Santorum were non-contenders. At the same time, Lincoln's Party would never nominate Dr. Paul.

This thread is silly.
Like saying you didn't really want to win the $500 million lottery, even though you bought 50 tickets.
All that wealth to deal with. All those friends hitting on you for $$$.
And worst of all... How to furnish that new castle in the Bahamas?
Naw... Who needs all that? 😀

It's funny to see people who claim that if Romney wouldn't have won the primary, XX would have won. Sorry the republican field was awful this year - Romney was simply the best General Election candidate they had to offer and he still failed. The Rs need either a platform shift to the center (unlikely), a very charismatic/ broad appeal candidate, or a very weak dem challenger next time around.

He might of have been doing for his religion rather than himself. Like JFK did for Catholicism having a Mormon president would improve their public image.

My little brother: let's play some Mario cart, I'll beat you.
Me: OK.

We play, I beat the shit out of him in Mario Kart.

My little brother: pfft, I didn't care about winning anyways.

I agree. Ron Paul had real ideas that would fix this country and he also warned us about the problems we have already

If Romney hadn't run, it would have been Gingrich or Santorum losing to Obama last year.

Sorry, but the Republicans just didn't have a well liked charismatic candidate last time. Reagan 2.0 is out there, but they haven't found him yet.

Ron Paul would have been able to beat both of them, he was a big threat to the gop because many of his ideas were against the status quo

Dr. Paul was no threat to either party because most of his ideas are supported only by a very small percentage of the population who try to make up for their lack of numbers with an excess of zeal.

Then why did the gop do everything to put him down? They spread lies and propaganda against him and they shut him down at the rnc.

The media also waged a war against Ron Paul to attack him and his ideas which are the only ones that work.

If only you and your fellow Zealots had spent all your time and money spreading "the Truth" about Dr. Paul instead of just whining online and spamming internet polls, perhaps you could have saved the nation.

Sorry, I meant all your folks' money, of course...

You ignore my question. If Ron Paul was not a threat then why was the gop so scared of him and tried to put him down?
