In the end of the cold war His speech in Rocky 4:

"During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, in the way you feel about me, and in the way I feel about you. In here, there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than twenty million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!"

pretty much convinced the whole room that the world could be better. He virtually reduced the Russian government to tears. The movie came out in 1985. The wall fell in 1989.

If Rocky Balboa fights an Arab boxer in the Middle East in a movie, could he end the conflict between the West and the Middle East?

I'm betting that there is a correlation here. Who is with me? Who thinks that Balboa has more peace making potential than Bush, Clinton, Abbas, Ahmadinejad, Putin, Olmert, or Blair?

I doubt it made a difference, since nobody in Russia saw it, just like nobody in the Middle East would see it.

But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth.

But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!

One of my favorite inspirational movie quotes of all time.
