did overclocking mess up my graphics card?

I have had my core 2 (e6400)overclocked (3.2 ghz) for over a week now. I was randomly checking my temperatures and noticed my graphics card was at 100c ! (although still working fine) when i checked the card, the fan had stopped. I am ordering a new cooler but I was wondering if the fan stopped because of the overclock? did it just wear out? does it have anything to do with setting the PCI-E in the bios to 100?

It was an MSI 6600GT which I have had for over a year now.

Likely it just died.

MSI products are crap anyway. You're lucky it lasted a year
