Purchased some software with a $20 MIR on August 3rd. The website showed the rabate was valid till 8/4 but the rebate form as it turns out says valid till 8/3.

I get the software in the mail today, and sure enough, the order packing lists shows i bought it on 8/4. Crap. So i check my e-mail, double crap, the product order confirmation was sent at 6am the next morning.....

Am i screwed on this rebate?

EDIT: Order online shows the order was placed 'August 4th, 2006 at 12:00am', what luck, coulda sworn it was earlier... Also, im pretty darn sure the site said it was valid till 8/4.

EDIT #2: Outpost is REALLY pissing me off. I called back on the 11th, spoke to a lady there who said she would look into the situation and call back with what our options would be later that afternoon. No one called by wednesday the 16th, so i called again, i am told this time they will e-mail me the resolution. No e-mail. I call just now and am told their computer system is down and they can't look up my order. WTF is wrong with this company? I've orered from them quite a bit in the past, but this is REALLY starting to piss me off. To top it off they have the WORST on-hold music i have EVER heard...

Strange, I never hard that happen to me.
Look at your packing slip again as it has 2 dates on it. 1 is like the invoice date or whatever and the other is an order date. It will be on the middle of the sheet on the left hand side.

Edit: O and before you find out if it is valid or not do not cut out the UPC.

OMG, are you freaking kidding me?

Looking online, looks like the order went through at, and im not kidding, 'August 4, 2006 at 12:00am', i coulda sworn i made that purchase before midnight.... Also, i'm pretty sure the page on Outpost said the rebate was good through 8/4, not 8/3.

Gonna call during my lunch break.

Keep in mind, outpost is just Fry's...a true bastion of quality customer service...

Call your CC and see if they can (e)mail you a record of when the authorization was placed on your card. If it's on 8/3 that might be able to help you.
Then again, as an extension of Fry's, they'll probably do everything they can to screw you (from what I hear, never shopped at Fry's myself)

ive never used them in the past, nor do i have a frys near me, so i cant personally comment on them. however, you said you have ordered from them in the past. every company has troubles once in a while. you caught them at a bad time.
