I have had this card about a year and a half now. It has been a great card! It gets locked up when I play Battlefield BC2. I then have to shut off the computer and when it comes back up, everything is fuzzy or I see these weird kind of artwork of nothing on my screen.
If i let it sit for about an hour the computer will come back up and I can do basic stuff like surfing the internet but if I try gaming again, I get the same problem.
I already have the updated drivers.

I am currentyly running

MTH board ASUS Rampage formula
Power supply Galaxy Dx X
processor Q9550
Corsair memory 4GB XMS2 8500
running Windows 7 32

If it did crap out. I hope not. What card would you recommend to be a better fit for my PC.

I hope I gave all the info needed to get some help.

Thanks guys!

Sounds like the memory is dead. It happens. And as for the replacement, go for the best you could afford.

Sidenote, the best way to test if the card is bad is to swap it out with another card. If you do not have a spare card, find a friend that does.

It could simply be overheating. The VRM's are usually the first thing to fail and can cause what you describe. Take the card out of the case and give it the very best dusting possible, then give it one more shot. I'll bet the card is fine.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and dusted the card a best as I could. Still same problem. I have a brother that built the exact same system. I will try to run it on his. Thank for the help guys. After all is said and done, I may have to buy another card 🙁
