My 45 gig drive now only shows 2 gigs of free space. I had lots of problems trying to install win2k on a new 45 gig drive, so i put win 98 on then installed partition magic and boot magic hoping to put win2k on a seperate partition. With win98 it showed my drive being a 45 gig drive. I still had problems so i decided to start from scratch and delete all partitions using fdisk (win 98 boot disk) and now my dirve only shows up as being two gigs. Ive tried using fdisk and the emergency start up disks with partition magic and im still getting the same thing. Did my partitions get hidden some how by boot magic? And if so how can i get back to square one? Does anybody know of a utility that will completly erase ALL data and partitions off a drive? I can't take the drive back because ive gone over the five day return limit and im getting real frustrated, so if anybody could help, i sure could need it. Thanks in advance.

Ya i enabled large disk support and i already formatted and windows 98 had showed it as being a 45 gig drive. My problem was after installing boot magic. I have a abit bh6 with a celron 300 not overclocked. I had it oc'd before and i think that was the cause of my instalation problems. But now my problem is that when i delete all partitions and make one partition (max size and active) it is only two gigs.

if you creat partition with partition magic, i think you have to use partition magic to deleted those partition.
Fdisk can't deleted partition that made by partition magic

I just downloaded from the ibm website a utility called drive fitness that says it will erase all data off the disk including the mbr, where i think that the problem is. I will post later if it works. Thanks for your help!!
