Hi there, as I was putting away my EVGA card back into its plastic case, I saw/felt/heard a little pop between my finger and the metal bracket of the card, right above the DVI port. So, what exactly happened? Did my card get fried by static electricity? I plugged it in and it works fine for games and streaming vids and whatnot...

Well, I it still works I guess it's fine. It was static electricity, but it discharged onto that metal piece and not the PCB, right?

Yes, the pop was only on the metal bracket. My entire hand was wrapped around the plastic housing of the card (because the card was already half-into the case), not touching the PCB.
