The "LX" is some non-ATI name, and GPU Review never had one entered in its database. Here is the cheap 9250 vs. the standard 9200:

Neither one can do Dx9, of course. {Well, heck,
it is the buddy who may have "gotten hosed", so this next is a bit out of sync after all, sorry.} Also, I (thought I was) surprised that a member of AT who has been around the place enough to write so many messages didn't (seem to know, my bad) the story about VRAM and memory bandwidth vs. speed, that anything beyond 128 MB's of RAM on a 128 Bit VGA is wasted if it's gaming (that the buddy) want(s) to do. Only for something like photo editing will (your buddy) be going slow enough to use more than 128 MB's.
In the GPU Review matchup, I plugged in a cheapie 9250, because those are what are being sold most, because they are cheaper. For it, the limit might be just 64 MB's of RAM while doing gaming.
