Did Judas kill himself before or after Jesus died? I don't remember.
If he killed himself while Jesus was still alive, then the Chrisian religion didn't yet exist and you have to judge him by the laws of Judaism.
christianity started once the teachings of jesus were heard. His way was the way of judism, but he did not suffer the rites and rituals common to judism.
same with buddism and hinduism. all about the ceremonies and junk
If that is true, then the popular doctrine of "Jesus died for my sins so that I may have eternal life" is false, and the entire christian religion is a farce.
i like to compare the following though i KNOW i'll be getting TONS of remarks afterwards, but here goes:
christians today are like hippies of the 70s
one group says: "oh jesus died for my sins, * blah blah blah*, and god is good"
where judism says the same thing, just not so... errr... hippyish like and minus the jesus and more on the repentance
the other group says: "you can't own property, man!"
where in fact you can.
it's all based on what people say in recent eras. not the origional. Did you knwo the bible was rewritten some 20 times, cross-language and censured?! that's like that old telephone game where one person says a phrase and people whisper it to another person until it gets back to the origional. KNow how mixed up that gets? Now take a book, written in aramaic 200 years AFTER DEATH, translate it into w/e language 20 times over, censur it during the renaisance, rewrite it in spanish and then to french and finally into old english. censur it again, then pass it along a series of popes, cardinals and local priests before it reaches your ears.... still that same?
