did i screw up my sprint pcs activation?

just got a sprint pcs phone as a present....

er, it's a samsung sph-n200

so, there i was, trying to activate it

i got to the point where it says home SID

i put in the number the website told me, and i'm getting a 'range error'

did it three time and it didn't work.. so i just press ok with the number that came up on its own and it took it....

the phone seems to work.. (when i call its number)

what is HOME SID anyway? do i have to call sprint pcs to correct this?

just called sprint and they told me if it works then i did it correctly..

and they can't tell me what home sid is.. WTF!!!

i just don't want some 'extra' charges show up on my bill because i did it wrong...

perhaps im not understanding this but if the phone works, whats the problem?

the problem is that i didn't put in the "home sid" number correctly and the phone works...
that worries me...

and the fact that the sprint pcs rep didn't want to tell me what that is also worriess me...

i didn't want to sign up for some secret pcs service that'd cost me an arm... even if my left hand is still numb...

just call back and verify .... you might have to call a few csr's but just check to make sure

If nothing else, just enjoy your phone. If there are some insane charges on your bill, dispute them because the CSR's wouldn't/couldn't help you when you activated the phone.
