Well, yeah, it was a dumb thing to do, but I don't see it being as heinous as most people here.  Seems like pretty normal youthful idiocy.
When I was fifteen, I borrowed my parent's car to go to the store while they were out playing golf.  Rolled it over in the ditch on the way home--very embarrassing.  In 1979, this got me a $37 fine, but didn't prevent me from getting my license four months later.
Did you admit to the police that you had been driving?   How do your parents feel about your situation?  Are they going to help you, or do they think you should take your lumps even if it means they have to drive your ass around for two more years?
Anyway, getting a lawyer is probably your best bet.
