Did I play this hand very badly?

I thought you prided yourself on being super internet message board debater guy. You're putting words in VenomXTF's mouth and acting like a douchebag in general.
You realize that this guy entered this thread by bragging that he can win "everytime" while at the same time whining about a bad beat from a donkey, right?

I suggest you go back and re-read the thread from the beginning.

But hey, no problem... I like players who think that "mixing up" their play is taking it straight out of a book. It does have a kind of advantage in that it takes on a sort of Princess Bride is-the-poison-in-your-cup-or-mine aspect to it.

All he was illustrating was that there are less than optimal players no matter what the stakes are.

And in that particular situation, AA vs anything pre-flop is 80% to win. I would gladly lose $1000 to win $4000. Wouldn't you?

You realize that every single thing you keep telling everyone I said, I never said? You are amazing at arguements, make up what someone else said and argue it, while you completety have no clue (or ingore) what I've actually said.

If you know how to play that type of game, and you are good, you can win everytime.

My point all along, which you have been blindly ranting and raving against because of your overinflated sense of self-importance, has been that a player like SUPERGEN62 is how you make money. So you tried to spring a trap that time and he wiggled out on the flop. Who cares? Why don't you go back and read my posts? I told you "suck out is often the name of the game," and "That's the way it goes sometimes," and you've been attacking me non-stop every since.

God forbid somebody try to hold a ruler to your e-penis, eh?

SampSon, you really should be banned by now. Every single post in this thread by you has been the same trolling thread crapping sht. If you don't like poker stay out of poker threads.
 Get over it Brunson. I'm not the one coming into the thread trying to be a badass poker player and bragging about my money and killer skillz yo!

The "serious" discussion has been lost to a flamefest, conducted by you and Vic. I play poker about three times a week, always in person at a house or the casino. Though I'm not foolish enough to get engaged in some endless discussion about the "proper" way to play a game of odds.

Where did I EVER say anything differently?

As to these "less than optimal players," that's how you make money. Ideally, by getting them to give it to you quickly and they rarely seeing your cards (and then only when you want them to... ideally).

When did I whine, when did I say he was not a donkey that I will play against any day? When did I say anything about that hand other than "there are idiots at higher limits too". I already replied about the "everytime" comment. Anyone who reads this whole thread will clearly see that you are the one being a troll, but nice try.

I love the troll Doyle/Brunson comments. I bow down to your discussion skills. Why don't we ask bhanson if I have no clue what I'm talking about? If I've helped him out? Since this thread was about helping him out.

i love how people get pissed off and bitch when they lose to a hand just because someone felt like gambling and got lucky.

thats one reason i wont play online. too many fishers. thats fine tho, their money and not mine. i know better than to get involved and save myself the stress. plus, you just gotta expect it. the nature of the game.

i played the other night. live game. i had 2,4. ante was .50, and a guy with AA bet 2 preflop. i called, and hit a set of 4s on the flop. he bet 5 i raised to 10, he called. turn was an A, so he bets 10. i called, not gonna push it and trying to trap him(put him on a pair of A, but not a set). river was a 4. he puts me all in, and i call. toss the quad 4s and he gets all pissy. his fault for not betting his rockets, but im the crappy player for gambling 2 bucks preflop. hahaha love it. told him if he woulda bet 3 i woulda folded, just to piss him off.

of course, i dont take it as serious as some. to me its just for fun, and it doesnt bother my ego win or lose.

Right... I'm a "troll" and I "hate poker" because I think you're a pompous ass. Do you ever read back to yourself what you post?

As to the stakes argument, all I can say is "Duh!" One man's rent money is another man's lunch money is yet another man's pocket change. Anyone who doesn't know that shouldn't play poker. That guy might've pushed in more than half his stack before the flop because <shocker> he didn't care.
